Zum Schwarzen Baren in Putbus

Discovered by chance and immediately impressed! Great cuisine, delicious fresh dishes in all price ranges and nice service - everything you could want on vacation. The "locals" also know that, and that was a large part of the guests, which speaks for the restaurant. Thank you!

We went to the island of Rügen for a weekend stay. During an evening stroll in Lauterbach (Putbus) we saw a restaurant in the evening that invited you to linger and eat. In front of the restaurant there were also heat mushrooms in a torch design. Unfortunately the places were taken, so we made a note of this restaurant “Zum Schwarzen Bären” for dinner the next day (Sunday, October 25th, 2020). After an extensive tour of the island, we were there just in time for the opening at 5:00 p.m. Of course we wanted to sit outside, although the dining room also looked cozy. We hardly stood at our selection table when we were immediately approached by the friendly Berlin waitress whether we would like to sit outside or inside. We, as fresh air fanatics, are of course outside ? The patio heaters were quickly lit and the order was taken. We didn't have to wait long, neither for the drinks nor for the food. In the kitchen, the Dresden chef himself is at the stove and pampers the guests' palates. He understands his subject??? Here the palate is tickled. We didn't leave anything on the plates even though it was really plentiful. I chose the cod platter and that was a good thing (see photos). All in all a very successful evening! ??? Maybe a little tip, reserve in advance! Not everyone is as lucky as we are. But maybe I also looked very needy??? Many thanks to the team "Zum schwarzen Bären" We will be back! Hello and greetings from the North Sea. We were your guests every evening from October 17, 2020 to October 23, 2020 and had reserved a table for the whole week before arrival. Even in retrospect, we have to say that it was the right decision. Even while studying the menu, we noticed the price / performance ratio and the selection. We were not disappointed. The tenants took over the restaurant in mid-2019. Everything is prepared fresh and with love and you can taste it. The bear platter and fur seal platter are excellent. The meat and fish are grilled to the point. The service is very friendly and courteous. We immediately felt very comfortable. That was really hospitable. The place was full, but the service was good and fast. Another note for beer drinkers: The Czech beers are craft beers and very good. Drink and enjoy ?

No point gets there, the cellar woman hates every customer who goes there. We called at 7pm and the basement said we can come over at 8pm. At 8 p.m. we were there and there were several empty tables, the cellar lady hadn't let us sit down, but started talking to her colleague to discuss our table loudly / scold us .... If you want to destroy your holiday in a good mood, you can eat there and have the cellar served.

The restaurant "zum Schwarzen Bären" has traditional delicious dishes on the menu. There is something for every taste that is freshly prepared and does not come out of the "bag", because the chef still understands his craft. The ambience under a large cherry tree hung with fairy lights is very inviting to spend a few nice hours there ... The service is simply unbeatable, the waitresses greet you very friendly and read every wish from your eyes; Also available for small surprises, thanks again for that ? It was a very nice evening with you!

We like to give 5 stars here and for good reason. Not simply served here, a feeling is conveyed here. The waitress lives the service and knows how to deal with guests. The food here is prepared with love. The old fur seal fish pot is awesome. We'd love to come back.

Here you can drink delicious beer and eat really well. It's cozy inside and outside you have a beautiful view of the nearby bay. As everywhere on Rügen, fish dishes are recommended. We had e.g. Plaice and pikeperch with delicious side dishes and were very satisfied. In addition, you are served warmly, friendly and quickly, even when there is a lot going on. We would love to come back :)

Small, inconspicuous restaurant with a simple but cozy interior. The food is still great and a blast. We have been there several times ... whether fish or meat, everything was delicious. The food is homemade and you can taste it from fried potatoes to sauce. Keep it up

Good evening, we were in the restaurant Zum Schwarzen Bär today, a nice ambience and, above all, very tasty food. Today we ate homemade sour meat with fried potatoes. We ate a fish pot / fish soup here last week. It was the best of mine but already a long life. The best ingredients, cooked to the point and super seasoned. It couldn't be better !! The service was quick and extremely friendly despite the full restaurant. The fish pot is a MUST when you are in Lauterbach.

We found her restaurant after a bike trip. It was a great ambience - seating in the green under the tree, with delicious food and, above all, everything is freshly prepared by the chef himself. I became aware of the Black Bear because of positive reviews. And I was not disappointed .... I cannot confirm some of the negative reviews ... Extremely friendly staff and the chef who is in the kitchen knows his trade ... No stripped-down Corona menu, as in so many other restaurants .. A very good selection of delicious dishes ... We were there 3 times out of 5 days to eat ... The food is freshly prepared and the portions are large and everything tastes great. .. Anyone who expects to get their food in 5 minutes like in a fast restaurant is out of place here ... The food is freshly prepared and is very tasty and good ... I can only recommend it. Really great food, freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned ... the cod was cooked through, not too soft and well seasoned, the puree was just delicious ... The waitress is polite, does not make it easy, and offers good service. Definitely a recommendation for everyone who is undecided.

Today we ate a really excellent fish pot at the Schwarzer Bär Lauterbach. Great taste, the deposits on point. The best fish pot / fish soup I have eaten in my long life. The fact that the operation was very good, nice and quick despite the high workload rounded off the evening.

Very, very tasty! The portions are quite okay in terms of size, my 5th year old had a children's portion, he is not used to being 100% full. In terms of taste but definitely to be recommended and we will go to eat there again. Everyone should find something from the selection. Fish, meat and also offer something to cook for vegans. The food is very, very tasty, the staff extremely relaxed and friendly. A deduction, however, because we had to wait over half an hour for someone to come and take our orders (including drinks). From then on it went very quickly. Generally recommended.
